MVS: not recommended.
AIX: via telnet using a vt100 emulation:
```
telvt <VMS-node>   # telvt is a FOPI specific command
```
In order to have all vt100 keys available your LOGIN.COM file on VMS should include the following DCL line:
```
$ set term/eight_bit
```
The emulated vt100 keys on an HFT console you find in Appendix . To redirect graphical output to your AIX desktop you use the VMS command:
```
set display/create/transport=tcpip/node="<your node>"
```
The VMS-node must be allowed to open a window on your screen (see ). To open a DECterm on your AIX desktop you use an additional VMS command:
```
create/terminal=decterm
```

Your VMS account must be prepared to run PAW and other

and CAVEB utilities. You should include the following DCL lines in your LOGIN.COM file:

$ @CERN$ROOT:[pro.mgr]cern_login
$ @CERN:[rpc.vms.v2_4]setup
$ @kp1$root:[caveb]cms_defs
$ @kp1$root:[fopi]cms_defs
