Using UNIX Workstations as Terminals

 

You will have to allow the remote host to open a window on your desktop. To accomplish that the node name must be present in the file(s) /etc/X0.hosts and/or /etc/X1.hosts (for the :0 and :1 displays). In addition there are the commands

xhost           # lists allowed hosts
xhost +<Host>   # adds a host to the list
xhost +         # allows all hosts 
xhost -<Host>   # deletes a host from the list

to handle access temporarily for one X-session.
