Running PAW under MVS

To run a PAWFOPI you type e.g.:

   PAWRUN paw9102                   # loads the executable PAW9102.LOAD(PAWFOPI)
   PAWRUN paw9102(pawx11)            # loads the executable PAW9102.LOAD(PAWX11)
   PAWRUN 'rz20.paw9008.load(pawx11)' # loads that executable

To run PAW in batch you have to edit a JCL dataset. An example assuming the program in 'RZ20.PAW9008.LOAD(PAWX11)' can be found in 'KP09.FLIB.CNTL(PAWBACK)'.

PAW under MVS should work similar as on VMS and UNIX, except the features coupled tightly to the file or operating system. Some known differences are

• You can move freely with the cursor keys on the screen, re-edit and re-issue visible command lines. You can use the ! command to recall the last commands.
• The CTRL-A, CTRL-G and CTRL-Y interrupt features are VMS-special and are emulated (PAWFOPI only) in the following way:
  1. Unlock the keyboard with the RESET key (or its emulation),
  2. Hit the Attention Key (PA1, or its emulation)
  3. Type A, G or again Attention, then ENTER.
