Set-up databases in cave B

Th.Blaich

The set-up databases described in this file are used for two purposes: They contain the CAMAC and Fastbus addresses of the detectors and serve for the mapping of the data in the event stream to the appropriate detector, and they contain information on set-up parameters like discriminator thresholds and high voltages. For the handling of the set-up parameters, there are routines available which are based on the KUIP-interpreter. This file contains the help-menu for the KUIP-commands invoking the control routines, and it contains an in-depth description how to generate and configure a set-up database that the control routines can use.

To put the stuff to beneficial use:

The TeX-file of this description is found on kp3$root:[blaich.text]setup.tex It includes two TeX-files, 'database' and 'cave', which contain the description of the PAW-menues. They were generated with the 'manual'-command, however, the plain format was used, and the files were embedded in a 'verbatim'-environment, since KUIP's TeX-format is just crazy.
