VMS MVS disk

 

• via Hyperchannel using the plain GSI commands

  siraw <vaxfile> <ibmfile>   ! send to IBM
  riraw <ibmfile> <vaxfile>   ! receive from IBM

  You are prompted for IBM userid and password.
• Copy single disk file via Hyperchannel using overlaid utilities, which have to be executed in our common area:

  set def KP1$ROOT:[FOPI]
  @store_s018_raw <run-no> <VAX-dir>  ! send  Raw Data to IBM
  @stage_s018_raw <run-no> <VAX-dir>  ! fetch Raw Data from IBM
  @store_s018_dst <run-no> <VAX-dir>  ! send  DST Data to IBM 
  @stage_s018_dst <run-no> <VAX-dir>  ! fetch DST Data from IBM

  Note that these commands require the CAVEB convention for the filenames

  uid.LMDV.S018.RAW<run-no>    ! IBM
  RUN_<run-no>.LMD             ! VAX
  
  uid.DSTV.S018.DST<run-no>    ! IBM
  S018_<run-no>.DST            ! VAX

• via FTP: not useful because standard FTP corrupts the record structure.
