FOPI New Projects
  • Data acquisition upgrade
    • The data acquisition upgrade project aims at improving the present 60 Hz in-spill taping rate to at least 1 kHz. This increase will be obtained by adopting for the drift chamber read-out the more modern and faster FADC scanners, as such developed for the CERES Collaboration. In addition, the number of scanners will be doubled, and the old front-end computing system will be replaced.
