AIX tcopy

 

Under AIX it is possible to make a 1:1 copy of a tape provided you have two tape drives at the same computer: 

tcopy /dev/rmt0 /dev/rmt1
copies everything up to the end-of-tape (two consecutive file marks) from tape drive 0 to tape drive 1.
